Welcome to Dr. Daniela Volkovinsky’s Flute Studio!
Flute lessons are not only a way to learn the methods and techniques of playing the flute but they are also an outlet for creativity, exploration, and building discipline. People of all ages, levels, backgrounds, and intentions can gain something from studying music - whether you want to play at your local church or perform professionally, flute lessons can teach you valuable life skills like perseverance, organization, flexibility, and communication.
Daniela has taught privately for over 12 years and has experience teaching beginners, intermediates, and advanced students. She has also taught at the collegiate level during her time as teaching assistant at the University of Iowa and worked with flute sections in masterclasses and workshops. What you’ll do:
Learn basic flute technique such as sound, fingerings, flute hold, vibrato, and more.
Develop musical understanding including but not limited to reading treble clef, rhythms, dynamics, tempo markings, articulations, and more.
Establish a consistent and manageable practice routine that works for your goals.
Build a repertoire of etudes, exercises, excerpts, and scales that will serve your needs.
Cultivate a sense of confidence in your abilities.
Explore music as a creative outlet.
